City offices relocate; renovations continue
(COLUMBIA, MO) - Several city operations will return to
renovated facilities and others will be temporarily relocated while
renovations continue. Renovation is nearly complete on the Howard
Municipal Building. Next up for renovation is the Gentry Building,
currently home to Human Resources and Parks and Recreation.
Moves scheduled to take place over the next few weeks are:
May 25 The City Prosecutor's Office will return to the Howard
Municipal Building at 600 E. Broadway. Offices currently are
temporarily located in City Hall.
May 30 Municipal Court will return to the Howard Municipal Building at
600 E. Broadway. The Court currently is
operating temporarily out of City Hall.
Municipal Court will be closed May 30 and reopen for
business May 31.
May 31 Human Resources will move to its new home at the Howard
Municipal Building,
600 E. Broadway. These offices are currently in
the Gentry Building. Human
Resources will be closed to walk-in
customers from noon May 30
through 8 a.m. Thursday, June 1.
Customers may call 874-7235
during this time.
June 1 The Parks and Recreation Department's administrative office
will temporarily relocate to City Hall
(Daniel Boone Building). These offices are
currently located in the Gentry Building at 1 S. 7th
Street. Functions impacted
include class registrations, shelter
reservations, golf gift
certificates and general public inquiries.
The Parks and Recreation administrative office will be closed to
walk-in customers on June 1,
however, customers who wish to do business
with Parks and Recreation may still call 874-7460. The
office will reopen to walk-in
customers at 8 a.m. on June 2 on the first
floor of the Daniel Boone Building.
