Mayor appoints citizens to Affordable Housing Policy Committee
COLUMBIA, MO (May 31, 2006) -- Mayor Darwin Hindman announced the
appointment of citizens to an Affordable Housing Policy Committee. The
committee will help the city develop an affordable housing policy and
identify the types of incentives or requirements to be used to encourage
development and retention of affordable housing.
"Affordable housing is an important need and high priority within the
community, and I am pleased to have a panel of highly-qualified citizens
volunteering for this public service," said Hindman. "I am looking
forward to working with them so that the city can begin moving
forward."
