Visual artists to display and sell their
work
(COLUMBIA, MO) - The 15th annual Columbia Festival of the Arts
will feature 50 visual artists who will exhibit and sell their artwork.
A variety of media will be represented including ceramics,
drawing/pastels, fiber, glass, jewelry, ceramics, metal works, mixed
media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and wood.
This years 50 artists come from various locations in
Missouri, including eight from Columbia, 20 from other Missouri cities
and towns, and other states such as Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa,
Kansas, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma and South Dakota. Each artist
submitted an application to exhibit at the Festival and was chosen
through a juried process.
The Festival is free and open to the public. It will be held at
the Boone County Courthouse Square and surrounding streets in downtown
Columbia on Sept. 23-24, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

The Columbia Festival of the Arts is a program of the City of Columbia
Office of Cultural Affairs. Financial assistance has been provided by
