Flat Branch Park Phase II cleanup

COLUMBIA, MO (September 19, 2006) -- The city of Columbia and the Parks
and Recreation Department is holding a special presentation
commemorating the end of the cleanup phase at Phase II of Flat Branch
Park.

The Department of Natural Resources will present a certificate of
completion to the city at a ceremony starting at 5:45 p.m. on Sept. 21
at the gazebo at Flat Branch Park (Fourth and Cherry streets). The
ceremony will precede the Twilight Festival Stream Extravaganza which
will start at 6 p.m.

The site cleanup project represents the 300th Brownfield site cleanup
in the state of Missouri.
