National Telecommunications Week
COLUMBIA, MO (April 11, 2007) -- The week of April 8-14, 2007 is
“National Telecommunications Week.” Public Safety Joint
Communications (PSJC), your local 911 center, will honor employees and
staff throughout the week.
Jodi Kamp was named “Operator of the Year”, Stacie Swon was named
“Employee of the Year” and Michanne O’Dell was recognized for
“Call of the Year” and were honored April 9 at 1 p.m. A joint
city and county proclamation for National Telecommunications Week was
read and presented to the center during the brief ceremony. The event
was attended by various community public safety officials, the City
Manager’s Office and his administrative staff, as well as all the
members of the Boone County Commission. The event took take place in the
“Operations Room” at the communication center located at 17 N. 7th
Street, Suite A.
This is a perfect opportunity to meet the people we hope you never need
to speak with, but may hold your life or those of others in their hands.

“first responder!”
