The week of April 8-14, 2007 is “National Telecommunications Week.”
 Public Safety Joint Communications (PSJC), your local 911 center, will
honor employees and staff throughout the week.  

An “operator of the year”, “employee of the year” and “call
of the year” will be recognized and honored April 9 at 1 p.m. A joint
city and county proclamation will be presented to the center during the
brief ceremony.

The event will take place in the “operations room” at the
communication center located at 17 N. 7th Street, Suite A. Professional
public safety organizations, private business and individuals are
invited and will be stopping by throughout the week to tour the
facilities, see our equipment and meet with the operators and
dispatchers on duty.

This is a perfect opportunity to meet the people we hope you never need
to speak with, but may hold your life or those of others in their hands.
They are the first “first responder!”
