Exploring the Vision Workshop reminder
COLUMBIA, MO (April 4, 2007) --
When: Wednesday, April 4, 2007 from 6 - 8 p.m.
Where: Lela Raney Wood Hall, Stephens College, 6 N. College Avenue
What: Exploring the Vision Workshop
● Thirteen Citizen Topic Groups were established to address 1,500 Big
Ideas for Columbia’s future which were submitted by the public last
fall
● Over 350 people have worked to develop subtopic goals and
strategies for each of the Citizen Topic Groups
● The Exploring the Vision Workshop is the community’s chance to
rank the goals and strategies, provide valuable feedback and interact
with Citizen Topic Group members
● The Citizen Topic Groups will use this information to gauge whether
their plans reflect the concerns of the community as they continue
working through spring to create a roadmap for Columbia's future
● The final vision is scheduled for public review in late summer
2007
● A press table will be set up at tonight’s meeting. Online press
