Vacant house catches fire in central Columbia update
COLUMBIA, MO (April 13, 2007) -- Around 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, April
11., a vacant house on the northeast corner of Hickman Avenue and
Providence Road was reported on fire by a passerby. The caller stated
that black smoke was coming from the house located at 301 Hickman Ave.
Investigators have now determined that the fire was incendiary
(intentionally set) in nature. The fire currently remains under
investigation at this time.
Anyone with information regarding this fire is encouraged to contact
the Columbia Fire Department at (573) 874-7391 or Crime Stoppers at
875-TIPS.
