Individual involved in rescue during vehicle fire at Business 70 and
Old 63 to be honored

COLUMBIA, MO (August 6, 2007) - The city of Columbia and the Columbia
Fire Department will honor Joyce Andrews, who was involved in the rescue
of a driver of a vehicle involved in a fire at the intersection of
Business Loop 70 and Old Highway 63 North on July 17, 2006, at the
regular meeting of the Columbia City Council tonight at 7 p.m. in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall Building at 701 East Broadway.

Joyce Andrews will be recognized with a plaque and letter from the
mayor, city manager and fire chief. The recognition will take place at
the beginning of the meeting around 7:05 p.m.

The City Council meetings are broadcast live on MediaCom channel 13 and
Charter Communications channel 2 courtesy of the Columbia Channel.
