Special hours for Douglass Pool

COLUMBIA, MO (August 13, 2007) - Due to the excessive heat and high
temperature warnings, Columbia Parks and Recreation will keep Douglass
Family Aquatic Center open through Aug. 15. The pool was scheduled to
close Aug. 12 for the season. 

Douglass Pool will be open from 1 to 7 p.m. today (Aug. 13), Aug. 14
and Aug. 15. 

A special admission rate will be in force during these times as well.
Pool-goers looking to beat the heat will pay only $1 to swim at
Douglass. 

The city’s Oakland Family Aquatic Center and Little Mates Cove at
Pirates’ Landing remain open this week under normal pool hours and
fees.
