Temporary closure of one lane on Locust Street

COLUMBIA, MO (August 27, 2007) - The Public Works Department announces
that beginning August 28 at 7 a.m., Phoenix Contractors will be
constructing a steel structure at 126 South Ninth Street. This work will
result in the closure of the northern lane of traffic on Locust Street,
between Ninth and Tenth Streets and the sidewalk and parking spaces in
the construction zone. The work should be completed and the road fully
reopened, August 31 at 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. This section of
Locust Street will remain closed throughout the evening hours during the
construction of the structure.

Motorists are advised to take an alternate route during these dates.
Anyone having questions related to the street closure should contact the
Public Works Department at (573) 874-7250.
