Ice/snow removal operations update

(COLUMBIA, MO) -- The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces snow/ice removal and treatment operations are continuing.
Crews moved into the residential areas late Sunday and are working in
residential areas today. They will continue monitoring critical, first
priority and second priority streets as they work on residential areas.
If Columbia receives more freezing rain, which is in the forecast for
tonight and Tuesday, crews will be required to move back to priority and
critical streets to assure these streets are safe and passable.

The snow operations will maintain contact with the Joint Communications
Office to handle all emergency situations. The city appreciates
everyone’s patience and cooperation during the cleanup efforts. The
city’s snow removal map is available online at www.GoColumbiaMo.com
(search: GoSnowMap) for citizens to view the priority designation of
streets.
