Annual Train Show to be held

COLUMBIA, MO (February 7, 2007) -- Columbia Parks and Recreation and the Mid-Missouri Railfans will cosponsor the 30th Annual Railroad Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 17. The exhibition of railroad memorabilia, models, and other transportation items will be held at Paquin Tower, 1201 Paquin St., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.

The exhibit features a wide variety of displays involving trains and the early days of transportation, as well as information on the latest advances in rail travel. Operating models and panoramic scenes, antiques, photographs and more will be featured.

The Paquin Tower Recreation Council will sell food at the event. Free parking will be available at the University garage except in spaces marked restricted. Enter the parking garage on University Avenue.
