Snow removal operations
									
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces that street personnel have been over priority streets at least
once with snowplows and they are passable at this time. By 3 p.m. today,
snowplows will move into residential areas. Street crews will operate on
12-hour shifts throughout this evening and tomorrow while cleanup
efforts continue.
	When citizens shovel their drives, they should place the snow on
the right side of the driveway as they are looking at the street. This
helps prevent the city from plowing driveways shut when performing
cleanup operations. If possible, citizens should not park on the streets
as this helps personnel clean streets in a more timely fashion.
	The snow operations will maintain contact with the Joint
Communications Office to handle emergency situations.
