Snow removal operations
									
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces that snow removal operations have been working through the
night. Crews have been focused on first priority streets and critical
areas. Critical areas are defined as hills, blind curves and dangerous
intersections.
	Staff will follow normal procedures focusing on priority streets
first, and then moving into secondary and residential areas when
possible. With three to six inches of snow in the forecast, our goal is
to get streets passable. For citizens who shovel their drives, please
place the snow on the right side of your driveway as you are looking at
the street. This helps us not to plow your driveway shut when we do our
cleanup operations.
	The snow operations will maintain contact with the Joint
Communications Office to handle emergency situations.
