Snow removal operations

(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department announces that snow removal operations will continue this week. A small crew will continue to work through the night and city crews are working to remove snow piles from the downtown streets during the evening hours.
The uncovered tops of the city parking garages remain ice-covered today. Barricades have been placed to keep people from parking on the rooftops until city crews are able to remove some of the ice. Customers with “uncovered” parking permits should park in an available “covered” space until the uncovered spaces can be cleared and the barricades are removed. We ask the public to honor the barricades until it is safe to park in these spaces.
The snow operations will maintain contact with the Joint Communications office to handle all emergency situations. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during the city’s cleanup efforts.
