Mayor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Health presents the 2007
Spring Fitness Expo & Awards
									
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Mayor’s Council on Physical Fitness &
Health’s (MCPFH) Spring Fitness Forum will be held on Tuesday, May 15,
at the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) from 5:30 - 8 p.m. The
Fitness Forum is part of Bike, Walk, and Wheel Week activities and will
include a health and fitness expo and the Mayor’s Fitness and Health
Awards Program. The expo is a cooperative effort between the MCPFH and
members of Columbia’s health and fitness community and is free for all
attendees. There will be free promotional items, information and
services provided by the vendors throughout the expo.
	Attendees can receive free scans for bone mineral density;
health screenings for skin damage, cholesterol, and diabetes risks; and
readings on Body Mass Index and percent body fat. Children ages 6 months
to 6 years can receive a screening for vision disorders. Attendees can
shoot hoops at the youth basketball station or try their hand at landing
the big one on the interactive fishing simulator. There will be a little
something on physical fitness and health for everyone, ages 1 to 101.
	At 7:30 p.m., Mayor Hindman will present his annual physical
fitness and health awards to various members of the Columbia community.
