COLUMBIA, MO (November 2, 2007) - The Columbia Parks and Recreation
Department invites the public to offer input on the new regional park
planned in southeast Columbia.
Two public meetings are scheduled to discuss the park, which will
consist of the Philips and Crane tracts of land off Gans Road.
Nov. 8: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the ARC (Activity and Recreation Center)
Nov. 12: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Rock Bridge High School Commons Area
The public meetings mark the kickoff of the planning process for the
new park. The information that is gathered will be used in preparing
several conceptual designs for the park, which will be shared at later
public meetings. The entire planning process is expected to take about
18 months.
If you have any questions about the meetings, please contact the Parks
