New restrooms to be installed at park facilities and trail points

COLUMBIA, MO (November 12, 2007) - Some park and trail users may
experience delays on Friday, Nov. 16, when five new, prefabricated
restrooms are installed at some of Columbia’s recreational facilities.


The parking lots at the MKT Trail access points on Forum Boulevard and
Scott Boulevard will be closed to trail users starting at 7 p.m. on Nov.
15 through part of the day on Nov. 16. The lots must be closed to allow
crews and a crane enough space to place the restrooms. The lots will be
reopened as quickly as possible. 

New restrooms will also be placed at Kiwanis Park, Fairview Park and
Lake of the Woods Golf Course. Those facilities will remain open,
although park users and golfers may not have full access to all park
amenities at all times.
