Work in alley behind Daniel Boone building
(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces that beginning Wednesday, Oct. 17, crews will work in the
alley north of the Daniel Boone building and annex. Crews will be
conducting exploratory work in the alley for the purpose of locating all
buried utility lines and sewer lines. The equipment used for this
project is similar to a giant vacuum cleaner and the noise may be
startling when it starts up, as it will sound like a jet engine. Please
do not be alarmed.
The work will be completed by Friday, Oct. 19, weather
permitting. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme
caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route
whenever possible.
