Health Department invites citizens to 'Watching the Watchdogs - Citizen
Dialogue on the News Media'

COLUMBIA, MO (August 1, 2008) - The Columbia Human Rights Commission,
in collaboration with the Columbia Missourian and the Reynolds
Journalism Institute, invites the public, teens and adults of all ages,
to tell the media what you think. 

“Watching the Watchdogs - Citizen Dialogue on the News Media"
Wednesday, Aug. 6
6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Columbia Public Library Friends Room
(A light meal will be served.)

Engage with a fellow citizens from diverse backgrounds in this final
session of candid, stimulating, facilitated dialogue. Your ideas, your
input will impact the Columbia Missourian centennial celebration in
September when journalists will gather from all around the world. How do
you want to improve the quality of the news media, to better reflect
and/or inform you and your community?
