Open house planned for Columbia Regional Airport	
							
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia and Columbia Regional
Airport invite the public to attend a special open house and
ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating new airline service to Memphis. The
event will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the Columbia
Regional Airport. The airport is located 12 miles south of I-70, off
U.S. Highway 63 on Route H (between Columbia and Jefferson City).
Regional ambassadors from surrounding communities and Northwest Airlines
representatives will be on hand for the ceremony. After the
ribbon-cutting ceremony, the 11:25 a.m. departure to Memphis will be on
its way.
	Beginning Aug. 19, Northwest Airlines will provide three daily
nonstop flights from Columbia to Memphis and beyond. To celebrate this
new service, Northwest is offering 1,000 WorldPerks® Bonus Miles for
travel on this new route between Aug. 19 and Sept. 30, 2008. (Visit

	Northwest Airlines was granted the Essential Air Service (EAS)
route in late April. Ticket information for the new flights between
