Public meeting scheduled for neighborhood park

COLUMBIA, MO (August 21, 2008) - The Columbia Parks and Recreation
Department will hold an interested-party meeting for a neighborhood park
in the Vanderveen subdivision and surrounding area. 

It will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, at the park site,
which is on the west end of Smiley Lane. 

Residents will be able to offer their input on the design and
development of the new park. Park planners will share preliminary
concept plans.
