Public meetings scheduled for new south regional park

COLUMBIA, MO (December 1, 2008) - The Columbia Parks and Recreation
Department will hold two public park planning meetings for the new south
regional park, which will be comprised of the Gans Creek Recreation Area
and Philips Park. 

Meetings will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, and on
Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the ARC, 1701 W. Ash. 

Both meetings will offer the same information and ability for residents
to learn more about the parks. Park planners will share preliminary park
master plan options and gather input and comments from interested
residents. The proposed park master plan options can be viewed on the
Parks and Recreation Web site at www.GoColumbiaMo.com.
