City publishes New Year’s holiday schedule
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - City offices will be closed Thursday, Jan. 1,
in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Residential refuse, recycling
and yard waste collections for Thursday and Friday, Jan. 1-2, will be
delayed one day. Questions concerning holiday refuse collection should
be directed to the Solid Waste Division at 874-6291. 
	City buses will not operate, the sanitary landfill will be
closed and parking meter regulations will not be enforced Jan. 1.
Columbia Transit will run shuttle service during the First Night event
from 6:30 p.m. Dec. 31 to 12:30 a.m. Jan. 1. 
	Though administrative offices for both the police and fire
departments will be closed Jan. 1, all other emergency services will be
available.
