Work continues on MU steam tunnel	
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces crews are continuing to work on the University of Missouri
steam tunnel on Stewart Road near campus. Beginning Monday, Jan. 5, a
portion of Stewart Road and Sixth Street, south of Stewart Road, will be
closed. At this time, Fifth Street will reopen to traffic. Stewart and
Sixth streets are expected to be closed until late July, weather
permitting. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme
caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route whenever
possible.
