Public meeting for Sixth Ward GetAbout Columbia projects
COLUMBIA, MO (July 14, 2008) - Sixth Ward Council Representative
Barbara Hoppe and the Public Works Department will host an informational
meeting open to the public concerning the proposed GetAbout Columbia
plan in the Sixth Ward. The meeting will be held Thursday, July 17 at
5:30 p.m at Shepard Elementary School, 2616 Shepard Boulevard.
This meeting is a follow up to the 6th Ward meeting held in June, which
laid the foundation for the Getabout Columbia project as a whole. This
meeting will be an opportunity for citizens to ask specific questions
about the proposed projects & alternatives in the 6th Ward, and to share
their support and/or concerns prior to the July 22 City Council Public
Hearing. A special City Council meeting has been scheduled for July 22
to set priorities for Getabout Columbia projects for the entire city.
Barbara Hoppe, 6th Ward Representative, will facilitate this 6th Ward
meeting. City Staff will be on hand to answer questions and share
diagrams and maps. If you have any questions about the Sixth Ward
