Parkside Drive mulch site temporarily closed
(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces that the city’s mulch site on Parkside Drive (off Creasy
Springs Road) is temporarily closed. This site will remain closed while
staff processes the excessive amount of yard waste that has accumulated.
The Capen Park mulch site located off Rock Quarry Park is still open
for residential use. Capen Park is open daily from dawn to dusk.
Both sites are only for residential use in accordance with the Code of
Ordinances Section 22-158. The mulch sites accept only leaves, grass
clippings, brush and limbs up to 10 feet in length and 2 feet in
diameter. Residents are asked to remove bags or containers and ties and
reuse or dispose of them with regular waste. For more information on the
disposal process, call the Solid Waste Division at (573) 474-9145.
