Wind energy forum will be held Wednesday
COLUMBIA, MO (June 23, 2008) - The possibilities of developing more
utility scale wind power in Missouri and transporting the power will be
the topic of a public forum in Columbia on Wednesday, June 25. The video
conference will be held simultaneously in nine Missouri cities and will
take place at 3215B LeMone Blvd., Room 140, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The wind forum is being hosted by the Missouri Department of Natural
Resources' Energy Center. Columbia Water & Light is the local liaison
for the event. The event will start with four speakers making
presentations. A moderated panel discussion will be followed by
roundtable discussions with attendees. This forum will be followed by
other wind energy discussions on Aug. 6 and Sept. 15.
There is no cost to attend the event but registration is required.
