CATSO Coordinating Committee meeting
(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Columbia Area Transportation Study
Organization (CATSO) Coordinating Committee will hold its quarterly
meeting Thursday, May 22, at 2:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber of
the Daniel Boone Building, 701 East Broadway.
The Committee will hold public hearings to receive comment on
the following items: Proposed 2030 Long-Range Transportation Plan
(LRTP); Proposed Major Roadway Plan Amendment - Harvester Road; and
Proposed Major Roadway Plan Amendment - Potential Collector Street
between St. Charles Road & Route WW, east of Keene Street.
According to federal transportation planning rules, CATSO is
responsible for a long-range plan that shall “include both long-range
and short-range strategies/actions that lead to the development of an
integrated multimodal transportation system to facilitate the safe and
efficient movement of people and goods in addressing current and future
transportation demand.”
The public is welcome to make comments on the proposed 2030
LRTP. The working draft of the LRTP is available for public review at
the city’s Department of Planning and Development, Daniel Boone
Building second floor, 701 East Broadway, or on the city’s Web site at
www.GoColumbiaMo.com. Please submit comments to the Planning and
Development Department at PO Box 6015, Columbia, MO, 65205-6015, or via
e-mail to planning at GoColumbiaMo.com.
CATSO is designated as a Metropolitan Planning Organization
(MPO) and is organized for the purpose of coordinating transportation
planning efforts in the Columbia urbanized and metropolitan planning
area. CATSO is composed of representatives of the city of Columbia,
Boone County and the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).
The Daniel Boone Building is an accessible facility. Any person
