One lane of Highway 63 will be restricted Thursday
(Columbia, MO) - Repairs will be made on the Columbia Terminal
Railroad (COLT) highway-rail crossing at US 63 on Thursday, Feb. 19,
weather permitting. The crossing is located in north Columbia between
Paris Road and Brown Station Road. A hole that has developed near the
rail tracks, in the northbound lane, will be fixed.
The repairs, expected to take approximately four hours, will be
done during the middle part of the day in order to avoid both the
morning and evening rush periods. Traffic on northbound US 63 will be
restricted to one lane while the repairs are made.
The COLT is a short line railroad owned and operated by Columbia
Water & Light. It provides railroad freight service to Columbia and
mid-Missouri.
