Easter activities from Parks and Recreation

COLUMBIA, MO (March 31, 2009) - Columbia Parks and Recreation is
planning activities for kids to celebrate Easter. For more information
about the below events, please call 874-7460 or log onto

Easter EGGstravaganza
Saturday, April 11 
12-2 p.m.
Douglass Park - Corner of Providence and Rogers
Bring your children (ages 12 and under) out for a fun, candy-filled Egg
Hunt before Easter. Other activities will include sidewalk chalk art,
face painting, sack races and toss games. Plastic eggs will be filled
with candy and prizes and hidden throughout the park-hunts will be
divided by age. 

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt
Friday, April 10
Check in at 7:30 p.m.
Stephens Lake Park, Riechmann Pavilion
Age groups 4-5, 6-7 and 8-10 years (Children must be accompanied by an
adult.)
Bring your flashlight and basket to the first Flashlight Easter Egg
Hunt! Columbia's Parks and Recreation will team with Mizzou's Parks,
Recreation and Tourism students to bring the community this first-ever
event that will help fund other family oriented events throughout the
year. Pre-registration is required by April 8. Price is $7-prizes will
be awarded.
