Be prepared for disaster! Your office of emergency management can
help.

COLUMBIA, MO (May 29, 2009) - The Columbia/Boone County Office of
Emergency Management (OEM) has a number of publications available to
help individuals, families, schools and businesses prepare for disaster.
These brochures are free upon request.

“The material we have on hand covers any type of disaster,” says
Interim OEM Director Zim Schwartze. “The pamphlets cover a wide range
of incidents, and provide details on how to prepare and react. It’s
our goal to make sure that the residents of Columbia and Boone County
are prepared for disasters, and this information can be of great
benefit.”

Informational brochures can be provided to individuals or to large
groups, such as businesses, schools, churches or governmental
organizations. To inquire about the materials, contact the Office of
Emergency Management at (573) 874-7400. The same resources can be found
