Highway 63 traffic restricted next week
(Columbia, MO) - During the week of Oct. 26, Emery Sapp & Sons
will close lanes of US Highway 63 while they install temporary concrete
barriers. The lane closures will occur near the Columbia Terminal
Railroad’s (COLT) crossing with Highway 63, just west of Route B. This
work is related to the construction of a new Columbia Terminal Railroad
bridge over Highway 63. Both northbound and southbound lanes will be
closed for the minimum amount of time necessary to install the concrete
barriers.
The COLT is a short line railroad owned by the City of Columbia
and operated by Columbia Water & Light. It provides railroad freight
service to Columbia and mid-Missouri.
