Public hearing for east side sidewalk reconstruction
(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Public Works Department announces a public hearing
for the reconstruction of sidewalks under the east side sidewalk plan.
The public hearing will be held Monday, Sept. 21, during the regularly
scheduled City Council meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. in the Council
Chambers, fourth floor of the Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway.
The proposed project includes the reconstruction of three sidewalks:
Phase 1
● Walnut Street - both sides, Ripley to Hubbel
● Paquin Street - north side, Hitt to College
● Anthony Street - north side, College to William
Phase 2
● Broadway Street - both sides, William to Short
● College Avenue - both sides, Windsor to Paquin
The proposed sidewalk reconstruction will improve ADA accessibility by
replacing poor sections of sidewalks and installing sidewalk ramps. The
project will be funded by the Community Development Block Grant and
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. If you have any questions about
the public hearing, please contact the Public Works Department at (573)
874-7250.
