Public Safety Joint Communications says 'thank you!'

COLUMBIA, MO (April 16, 2010) - The Director of the Columbia/Boone
County Office of Public Safety Joint Communications (PSJC) would like to
thank everyone for a great week celebrating and honoring the agency’s
9-1-1 communication operators.

“Our observance of National Telecommunicators Week was a huge success,”
says Director Zim Schwartze. “From the great turnout at our open house
on Wednesday, to visits by city and county officials, to daily gifts of
food from the agencies with which we work, the outpouring of support and
gratitude means a lot to our 9-1-1 dispatchers. It means a great deal to
know that their hard work is appreciated, not just this week, but ALL
year long.”

National Telecommunicators Week has been officially observed since
1991, and is designed to honor those who work behind the scenes, to
connect callers with the emergency services they need. To learn more
