Workshop opportunity for visual artists         
(COLUMBIA, MO) – Area visual artists are invited to participate in an
upcoming “Business Edge” workshop. Topics to be covered include
copyright, limited liability companies, business record keeping and
photography of artwork.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, April 24, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.,
at Orr Street Studios, 106 Orr Street. The workshop is being presented
by Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts (VLAA), a statewide
arts organization based in St. Louis, in collaboration with Orr Street
Studios and the city’s Office of Cultural Affairs.
Presenters include St. Louis artist Susan Bostwick; Edwardville, Ill.,
artist Joseph Gruber; Columbia artist Wayne Leal; Columbia attorney
Ronald Sweet; and Sue Greenberg, VLAA executive director.
Participants are encouraged to pre-register for the session for the fee
of $25 (includes lunch); registration at the door is $45. A registration

The Business Edge workshop is made possible, in part, by the Missouri
Arts Council, a state agency, and the City of Columbia Office of
Cultural Affairs.
