Columbia Transit to test new routes this weekend
(COLUMBIA, MO) – In preparation for new bus routes which start next month, Columbia Transit drivers will be doing test runs on Sunday afternoon, July 25. Buses will not be in service and will not pick up passengers on Sunday.
“Drivers will be training on the new routes to make sure that our new and improved routes begin as smoothly as possible” said Drew Brooks, transportation supervisor.
The new bus routes are scheduled to begin on Aug. 2 for all routes except the 106 Brown Route, which will start on Aug. 16.
New maps and schedules are posted online at www.GoColumbiaMo.com, by searching GoNewRoutes. Temporary maps and schedules are also available at the Wabash Station, 126 N. 10th Street. The city is printing new transit maps, but until those are completed, copies of the individual route maps are available at the Wabash Station.
For more information, contact Columbia Transit at (573) 874-7282 or e-mail transit staff at Transit at GoColumbiaMo.com.
