Full City Channel service interrupted in Charter Communications territory

COLUMBIA, MO (July 30, 2010) - Equipment problems have interrupted City Channel broadcasts to Charter Communications cable customers in Columbia. According to City of Columbia Public Communications Director Toni Messina, cable viewers in Charter’s territory may be getting video but not audio on their Channel 2.

“We regret this interruption. It appears that equipment on our end is causing the problem.”

Messina said that Charter customers will be able to view the Aug. 2 live broadcast of the City Council meeting online, through the city’s website, but not on their TV sets. “We’re looking at repair and replacement options right now. We want to fix this as soon as possible,” Messina said.

The easiest way to view City Council meetings and other City Channel programs online is to go to www.GoColumbiaMo.com and then click on the City Channel icon in the purple menu bar on the right side of the page.
