Columbia Fire Department to Conduct Confined Space Rescue Training on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 and Wednesday, March 31, 2010
 

Columbia, MO - The Columbia Fire Department will be conducting confined space rescue training on the University of Missouri campus on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 and Wednesday, March 31, 2010 between the hours of 9:00 am and approximately noon.

On Tuesday, March 30, 2010 the training will take place in the east campus area at the Animal Science Research Center. On Wednesday, March 31, 2010, the training will take place at the University of Missouri Power Plant on Stewart Road at 5th Street.

These are training exercises and are not actual emergency events. The public may notice several fire trucks and special operations vehicles along with the training activity in these areas.

The training exercises were developed for the Columbia Fire Department Technical Rescue Team to enhance the skill level of the team and to provide routine and regular familiarization with specialized equipment and processes.
