Applications are being accepted for the Source Water Protection Plan
Task Force
 
COLUMBIA, MO (April 11, 2010) - The City Clerk’s Office is accepting
applications for the Source Water Protection Plan Task Force. The
purpose of this task force is to assist in the preparation of a Source
Water Protection Plan as outlined by the Missouri Department of Natural
Resources’ “Guidelines for Developing a Source Water Protection Plan.” 
 
The task force will consist of 12 members, of which four will be
appointed by the City Council. Consideration will be given to prior
service on a city board or commission, professional credentials or
participation in a civic, business or professional organization. 
 
The remaining eight members are city employees and representatives of
the University of Missouri, Public Water Supply District No. 9, the
Missouri Department of Conservation and the Water and Light Advisory
Board.
 
Applications can be obtained at the City Clerk’s Office or can be found
on the city’s website:

Applications must be returned to the City Clerk’s Office, 701 E.
Broadway, 2nd Floor, by noon on Friday, June 4.
