City sets FY 2012 public budget sessions

Public hearing continued at start of regular Council meeting - any person who or organization that has not already been heard may speak on any proposed budget item followed by anyone with final comments before hearing closed and Council third reads and adopts FY 2012 budget

 Guidelines

*The total time allotted for the public hearing at each Council meeting is 60 minutes.

*A person who speaks must provide his or her name and address for the record.

*An individual speaking for him- or herself is limited to three minutes.

*An individual speaking for an organized group is limited to five minutes.

*Comments must pertain to the subject matter before Council.

*Mayor may rule out-of-order any comment not addressing the subject matter.

*Citizens may submit written comments, for the record, to the City Clerk at PO Box 6015, Columbia, MO, 65205.

*Written comments will be provided to the Mayor and Council members

Full text of the FY 2012 budget is available at GoColumbiaMo.com and, in paper form, at the City Clerk's Office (2nd Floor) and the Finance Department (5th floor), at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.
