Sewer main work will temporarily close Locust Street

COLUMBIA, MO (June 10, 2011) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department announces that beginning Tuesday, June 14, Walnut Brook, LLC will begin sewer main work along Locust Street, between Hitt and Tenth Streets, for a new apartment building at 220 S. 10th Street. This work will result in the temporary closure of Locust Street, between Hitt and Tenth, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. The work will be completed and the road re-opened by 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, weather permitting.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when near the construction area and will need to use an alternate route while the street is closed.
