Sewer main work will temporarily close Locust Street

COLUMBIA, MO (June 15, 2011) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department announce that Wednesday, June 15 (tonight) Walnut Brook, LLC will be working on a sewer main along Locust Street. This work will result in the temporary closure of Locust Street, between Hitt and Tenth, beginning at 7:00 p.m. tonight.

The work was originally scheduled for Tuesday but the project was delayed. Citizens can expect the project to be completed and the road re-opened by 6:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, weather permitting.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when near the construction area and will need to use an alternate route while the street is closed.
