Sewer work at intersection of Garth and Austin Avenue 

COLUMBIA, MO (June 10, 2011) - The Public Works Department announces that Sewer Utility crews will be repairing a sanitary sewer manhole on Tuesday, June 14 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Garth and Austin Avenue.  The work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m the same day, weather permitting. 

Traffic at the intersection may experience temporary delays due to the alternate use of one traffic lane during the sewer repairs.  If the work is postponed due to inclement weather, it will be rescheduled for Wednesday, June 15.  

Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution when driving near the work area and use alternate routes when possible.
