Neighborhood Organizing Workshops

COLUMBIA, MO (October 13, 2011) - The Office of Neighborhood Services is working with Unite 4 Healthy Neighborhoods and University Extension on a series of neighborhood organizing workshops. If you or someone in your neighborhood are interested in learning valuable skills to manage neighborhood activities and plan for the future, please attend these sessions:

Oct. 19 - Neighbors Working Together: Learn about the value of having an active neighborhood association and strategies for getting your neighbors involved in community projects.

Nov. 2 - Strategic Planning: Take part in exercises and discussions on what makes your neighborhood a great place to live and planning for the future.

Nov. 16 - Civic Engagement: Learn how to get your neighbors involved in important local projects.
