Public Input Sought on Proposed Energy Efficient Home Construction Project

COLUMBIA, MO (December 11, 2012) - The City of Columbia's Department of Community Development invites the public to learn more about a proposed energy efficient home construction project at 413 West Ash St. The home would be owner-occupied and down payment assistance may be provided to qualified homebuyers.

 Tentative project details include:

*Improved insulation over Energy Star 

*Universal Design accessibility elements 

*Geothermal heating and cooling 

*Active and passive solar 

*3 bedroom, 2 bath 

*Approximately 1,200 square feet

City Staff will be on hand to answer questions and collect citizen comments regarding this exciting new owner-occupied housing project on Wednesday, December 12, in room 1A of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, from 6:30-7:00 p.m. An electronic comment form is also available on the City's website at www.gocolumbiamo.com.
