Fifth & Walnut Garage Work/Fifth Street Lane Restriction

COLUMBIA, MO (July 5, 2012) - The City of Columbia Public Works Department announces that work at the Fifth and Walnut parking garage will close one lane of traffic on Fifth Street next week while glass molding is being installed on the northwest stair tower.  One pane of art glass will also be installed. Columbia Glass and Mirror will install the molding/trim and replace one of the art glass panels on the parking garage beginning Monday, July 9, weather permitting.

Walnut Street will remain open at all times. Fifth Street will be reduced to one-way for southbound traffic only. The sidewalk on Walnut Street and Fifth Street will be closed to pedestrian traffic in the work zone. The project should be completed with the roadway and sidewalk open to traffic by 1 p.m. Thursday, July 12, weather permitting.
