Section of Seventh Street closed next week

COLUMBIA, MO (June 1, 2012) - The northbound lane of Seventh Street, between Cherry Street and Broadway, will be closed from Monday, June 4 through Friday, June 8 for improvements to an underground electric utility box. Northbound traffic will be detoured around the block and parking on the east side ofSeventh Streetwill be closed. The southbound traffic lane will remain open to motorists. Columbia Water & Light is rebuilding the concrete utility box along with installing new grate for a smoother crossing surface for motorists. Customers will be individually notified if there are any electric service interruptions during this project.
