Town hall meetings on street improvements to be held
COLUMBIA, MO (March 2, 2012) - The Public Works Department will hold a series of town hall meetings to discuss street improvements in Columbia. The first meeting will be held Wednesday, March 7, for Ward 5 residents. This meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Gentry Middle School in the cafetorium, 4200 Bethel St.
These meetings are designed to gather input from citizens to maximize street improvements throughout the city and to plan for future street improvement budgets. Citizens are encouraged to attend these public meetings and provide input. Other meetings to follow include:
*Ward 3: Tuesday, March 13, 5:30 to 7 p.m., Blue Ridge Elementary media center, 3700 Woodland Dr.
*Ward 2: Thursday, March 15, 5:30 to 7 p.m., Parkade Elementary School media center, 111 Parkade Blvd.
*Ward 4: Wednesday, March 21, 5:30 to 7 p.m., Activity & Recreation Center (ARC), 1701 W. Ash St.
*Ward 1: Monday, March 26, 5:30 to 7 p.m., location TBD
*Ward 6: Wednesday, March 28, 5:30 to 7 p.m., Unitarian Universalist Church Sanctuary, 2615 Shepard Blvd.
